About Me

Hi, I’m Allison — welcome to Being the Mom. If you’re a mom who wants slower days, calmer homes, intentional routines, and confidence in your role, you’re in the right place.

I help moms slow down, show up, and build an intentional home where they feel confident, connected, and joyful. Everything I teach is simple, practical, and designed for real life with little ones underfoot.

Who This Blog Is For

Being the Mom is for moms who want:

  • A calmer, more connected home
  • Simple systems that make daily life easier
  • Confidence in teaching and nurturing their children
  • Family food routines that don’t require living in the kitchen
  • Home rhythms that reduce stress instead of adding to it
  • A sense of identity, joy, and purpose in motherhood

If you want motherhood to feel lighter, more meaningful, and more manageable — this space was built for you.

What You’ll Find Here

Everything I create fits into one of five pillars — the core pieces of an intentional home:

  • Homeschool at Home — toddler learning, early education, simple routines, and activities that make teaching at home feel natural.
  • Family Food Systems — quick recipes, meal prep, freezer meals, MSPI-friendly options, and a year-long meal plan that keeps you sane.
  • Home Management Flow — cleaning rhythms, organization systems, emotional load support, and routines that make your home run smoothly.
  • Nurturing Children — connection, boundaries, emotional regulation, and relationship-building activities.
  • Joy in Motherhood — identity, mindset, affirmations, journaling, and encouragement for the mom you’re becoming.

My goal is to give you clarity, confidence, and simple systems so you can spend less time overwhelmed and more time enjoying your family.

Why I Started This Blog

Motherhood is beautiful — but it’s also loud, messy, and demanding. When I became a mom, I realized how much pressure we carry: feeding everyone, teaching little ones, keeping the home running, staying connected, and somehow still being ourselves.

I wanted a place where moms could learn, laugh, feel supported, and find practical tools that actually make life easier.

So I built Being the Mom as a home for moms who want to be intentional — not perfect.

Why You Can Trust Me

I grew up as one of the oldest in a family of thirteen, which means I’ve been caring for kids for… basically forever. My mom was an expert at creating a joyful, organized home, and I learned early how powerful routines, connection, and calm leadership can be.

Professionally, I spent over seven years in medical research, which taught me how to find trustworthy information and translate it into clear, practical guidance. My MBA gave me the systems-thinking and organization skills I now use to help moms build homes that run smoothly — without running them into the ground.

Motherhood is where all my passions collide: teaching, organizing, cooking, creating, nurturing, and leading. It’s the role where I get to do it all.

A Little About My Life

I live in the U.S. with my husband and our two sweet kids. We love adventuring together, cooking, reading, and spending time outdoors. I work full-time remotely, stay involved in my church community, and juggle all the beautiful chaos that comes with being a mom of toddlers.

I’m right there with you — learning, growing, laughing, and figuring it out one day at a time.

How I Can Help You

Here’s what you can expect from Being the Mom:

  • Simple, doable routines that make your home feel calmer
  • Toddler learning activities and early education support
  • Meal prep systems and family-friendly recipes
  • Organization strategies that actually work for moms
  • Encouragement and mindset tools for joyful motherhood
  • A community of moms who want to grow together

My goal is to help you build a home that feels peaceful, connected, and intentional — one small step at a time.
